Los Vendidos

Los Vendidos combines different stereotypical images of "the Mexican" in a humorous and sarcastic look at what it really means to be a Mexican in . As the name implies, this act generalizes what others think about Mexicans in hopes that by showing the restrictions of what we think. This piece consists of two main characters: the seller and the buyer, though which is which becomes problematic. The "Seller" wants only to make money and obviously cares nothing about what exactly he's selling shown through his horrifyingly shocking theme of selling people (Mexicans). The "Buyer" represents the American government, concerned only with politics, by maintaining the illusion that they care about different ethnic groups by adding a voiceless brown face only speaking what the Government wants it to
